Mary Receives the Dead Body of Jesus in Her Arms
O God, come to my assistance.
O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Hail Mary...
I grieve for thee, O Mary most sorrowful, in the wounding of thy compassionate heart, when the side of Jesus was struck by the lance and His heart was pierced before His body was removed from the Cross.
Dear Mother, by thy heart thus transfixed, obtain for me the gift of understanding.
Hail Mary...*

Dearest Jesus, teach us to be generous, to serve you as you deserve, to give but not to count the cost, to fight and not to hit the wound, to labor and not to seek for any reward, except to know that we're doing your holy will. Amen.
